Meet Lauren Jones – one of City College Plymouth’s rising apprentices.
Lauren is completing her Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship while helping her team with key administrative support – she’s often the first friendly face staff meet each day.
Her favourite moment so far? Helping at a College Open Day: “I loved meeting new people and getting myself known around the College.”
When Lauren first visited as a potential student, the support on offer stood out immediately – from wellbeing spaces to therapy dogs – which she describes as ”a world away” from her school experience.
Looking ahead, Lauren hopes to improve her confidence, gain qualifications, and develop a career in business: “Getting used to a professional environment is a whole new world, but I’m excited for it.”
Her advice for first-time Open Day visitors? “Look at everything – don’t close yourself off to new opportunities.”
