T Level in Health & Social Care
Sophie, who recently completed her T Level in Health & Social Care with a specialism in Supporting the Adult Nursing Team, is an inspiring example of how dedication and hands-on experience can pave the way for future success. Sophie earned a Distinction, demonstrating her commitment and passion for the field.
Reflecting on her achievements, Sophie said, “I didn’t think I’d get a Distinction! I’m really happy because I know that I’m going to enjoy the job I’m going to be doing.”
Her time at City College Plymouth provided her with invaluable experience, particularly through her placement in a care home in her village, where she not only gained practical skills but also secured a paid position. “I ended up doing more hours on my placement than I needed to, just because I enjoyed doing it!”
The close-knit environment of her T Level class, with just ten students, allowed Sophie to form lasting friendships and receive extensive support from her tutors and lecturers. “We had so much one-on-one time with teachers, and a lot of support from tutors and lecturers, which was really good,” Sophie shared.
Sophie’s hard work and positive experience have led her to the next exciting step in her journey: a Master’s Degree in Childcare & Nursing at the University of Plymouth. With her passion, experience, and a bright future ahead, Sophie is well on her way to making a significant impact in her chosen field.
