19 January 2022 | College News
As part of City College Plymouth’s vision to become the learning destination of choice, the College is pleased to welcome Gill Miller to the Executive Leadership Team.
In recognition of how staff are the College’s most important investment, Gill joins the College as Chief People Change Officer and will lead on the College’s Developing People Strategic Action, which seeks to strengthen the healthy learning and working environment enjoyed by staff and students.
Gill joins the College following a 21-year career in the NHS, firstly as a chartered physiotherapist before moving into management roles. Gill developed expertise in professional and organisational development, providing strategic leadership on matters relating to culture, leadership, values, wellbeing, engagement and career development.
As the College continues on its ten-year journey of transformation, Gill will be pivotal in creating a culture of opportunity and will lead on empowering staff through high-quality CPD and ensuring staff believe and promote the College values of respect, ownership and integrity.
Gill said: “I am proud to be from Plymouth and I’m excited to join the College, an iconic organisation within our city. The College’s values and Strategic Intent show that the number one priority here is our people. My aspiration always is to make sure people feel valued, supported and that their voice is heard within the community. We have the potential to make outstanding differences to people’s lives and to shape the future of our city … I can’t wait to meet colleagues and students and to get started.”
Gill officially started at the College on Monday 17 January.
