What's it all about?

Do you want to become a professional dancer, choreographer, or dance teacher? The Extended Diploma in Dance at City College Plymouth could help you achieve just that!

This exciting dance course is for passionate and ambitious students who want to make their dream dance career a reality. You’ll develop your dance skills in a wide range of styles, including ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary dancing. You will be devising your own work and performing to audiences from inside and outside of the College environment. The College’s vibrant arts, media and production department has a full programme of professionally directed events that you will also be involved in as a performer.

This one to two-year course is made from bite-sized chunks that each gives you a recognised qualification. If you complete all the units of the two-year programme then you will have a qualification equivalent to three A Levels – so you can progress to study our very own dance degree, or perhaps study a dance degree with a conservatoire or university.
