One conversation could change what comes next!

Are you aged 16-18 and not currently in education, employment or training? Or are you supporting a young person who is unsure about what to do next?

Taking that next step can feel daunting. There might be uncertainty about the future, a lack of confidence, or simply questions about whether College is the right choice.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.

Our ‘Step into College’ event is an opportunity to explore what City College Plymouth has to offer in a relaxed, supportive environment. It’s a chance for young people to discover practical options, build confidence and find a route forward that feels right for them.

Start with a conversation

Come along to our ‘Step into College’ event on Wednesday 7 October, from 4.00pm to 6.00pm, and find out more about the opportunities available.

There’s no pressure to know exactly what you want to do. The event is about having a conversation, exploring the possibilities and understanding the support available.

Young people will have the opportunity to:

• discover Pre-Apprenticeships and study programmes designed to support their next steps
• explore practical courses linked to local careers and industries
• try different subjects and discover where their interests could take them
• find out about routes into employment, Apprenticeships and further study
• learn how College can help them develop confidence, independence and practical skills
• meet supportive tutors and career advisers
• ask questions about College life and what to expect
• find out about the support available before and during their studies.

Parents, carers and others supporting a young person are welcome to come along too. You’ll be able to ask questions, meet College staff and understand the different options available, so you can support them in deciding what comes next.
