Travelling to Picquet
If you are attending an Apprenticeship assessment or you are undertaking a pre-employment programme, you may have been asked to come along to our Picquet Barracks site. See below for details on how to get to us.

Travel Options
Trains run to Plymouth frequently from a variety of train lines. Our Stagecoach bus (service 36) can be taken from the station to Derry’s Cross. This service is FREE for current students. This is followed by a short walk along Union Street to the Walkabout bus stop. From here you can jump on the Plymouth Citybus (service 5) to Cumberland Gardens. Picquet Barracks is a one minute walk from this bus stop.
To get to Picquet Barracks from Plymouth city centre, hop on the Plymouth Citybus (service 5) from Royal Parade (stop A7). After eight stops, you’ll reach Cumberland Gardens. Picquet Barracks is a one minute walk from this bus stop.
There is free onsite parking for cars and motorbikes. Disabled parking bays are available and if you are a student who requires disabled parking please contact us to find out how we can best accommodate you.
Bike lockers are not available at Picquet Barracks but areas are available to lock your bike yourself.
