City College Plymouth is excited to announce its upcoming Year 11 Course Taster Sessions, designed to provide young people in the city with a firsthand look at the wide range of courses available at the College.
With a commitment to empowering students to reach their full potential and achieve their academic and career goals, the College’s taster sessions are designed to allow 15-16-year-olds to not only find out which course they’d most enjoy or are most suited to, but also give them a sneak peek into what College life is really like.
Sophie Harvey, the College’s Events & Schools Liaison Officer, says: “Taking the step from secondary school to College can be a daunting task, which is why our taster sessions have been created to give Year 11s a hands-on experience in a range of subjects from bricklaying to hairdressing. Not only are the sessions great fun, but we also throw in a free lunch!”
Held during half term – Tuesday 24 October to Thursday 26 October – Year 11s are encouraged to register for their place on the College’s website.
