NextGen Bake-Off 2026

Get your students involved in the ultimate baking challenge – NextGen Bake-Off 2026, hosted at our Kings Road campus.

How the Bake-Off Works

  • Each school can enter a team of three Year 10 pupils.
  • Teams will create a show-stopping cake inspired by the theme: ‘Plymouth’.
  • You can use our kitchen equipment and crockery, or feel free to bring your own.
  • Main ingredients (eg. flour, eggs, sugar, butter) will be provided – just bring anything extra you need for your recipe.
  • Cakes will be judged by a professional local baker.

           Judging criteria will include:

  • Health and safety practices and teamwork
  • Flavour, texture, and presentation
  • Creativity and interpretation of the theme
