Why did I choose an Apprenticeship?

I chose to do an Apprenticeship because I wanted to get out in the real world and earn a living whilst learning my trade. I thought to myself for the three, four or maybe even five years I could spend at university earning a degree I could have gained on-the-job experience which I believe employers will prefer over someone coming out of university into a job, and I earn money whilst doing it!

What I enjoy most about working at EMX?

I love the office environment; everyone is friendly and approachable and there’s a great team atmosphere. I’m learning everyday at EMX and the rest of the marketing team have been amazing to work with, giving me advice and helping me out when I need it. I am always being given new challenges by Chris, our Marketing Manager, to make sure I’m constantly developing, learning and not constantly doing the same thing.

What does a typical day at work involve?

There is no such thing as a typical day in this job as you’re constantly doing something different. In this industry, things are constantly evolving so making sure you keep up with the current trends is very important. My days tend to be split with creative work and website work, so in the morning I may be editing pictures on photoshop then in the afternoon adding a new product to our website. There is always a lot to do which is good because you are never sat twiddling your thumbs.
