Charley, a business student at City College Plymouth, embarked on a life-changing journey to Japan in March 2024, thanks to an incredible opportunity presented by the College’s business department. And what an experience it was!
Charley, along with seven fellow students and two lecturers, spent two immersive weeks in Fukuoka, Japan. This unique educational trip was a blend of cultural exploration and academic enrichment, offering Charley and the group an invaluable chance to delve into Japanese culture first hand.
“I had the chance to visit a Japanese school where we engaged with local students and experienced their educational system. It was an eye-opener to see how their culture and values are integrated into daily learning.”
Charley got the chance to work at a local school, absorbing the nuances of Japanese education and cultural practices alongside visiting various landmarks and sites around Fukuoka.
