T Level Onsite Construction
Maison, who recently completed the T Level in Onsite Construction with a specialism in Carpentry & Joinery, is a shining example of dedication and achievement at City College Plymouth. Maison earned Distinctions across the board, proving his commitment and passion for the trade.
Reflecting on his experience, Maison expressed pride in his accomplishments: “I’m really pleased with my results, especially being the only one who finished. It feels great to have come this far.”
His time at City College Plymouth was marked by strong support from his teachers, who played a crucial role in his success. Maison credits them with providing valuable guidance and fostering a positive learning environment. “The teachers were very helpful and always there when I needed them. Overall, it was a good experience,” he shared.
Maison’s hard work and perseverance have paid off, as he’s now secured a degree apprenticeship in quantity surveying with Plymouth construction company Balfour Beatty, where he previously completed his placement. His next step involves studying at University of Exeter one day a week, while continuing to gain hands-on experience with Balfour Beatty. For now, Maison is putting his skills to use in the family business, working alongside his father on various building projects.
