The independence and work skills study programme at City College Plymouth is for young people with moderate to severe learning difficulties or disabilities. It is ideal for those who need to learn within a supported environment, and who want to develop their skills in preparation for work and independent living. All students receive a high level of support to enable them to access all aspects of College life and the wider community. You will have the opportunity to develop English and maths skills, develop employability skills, develop a range of independent living skills, social skills, and self-confidence, try a range of vocational options, achieve relevant qualifications. You can also take part in a personal development programme (this may include Duke of Edinburgh Award and/or Ten Tors).
