Course information

A production manager, a sound engineer, a lighting designer or rigger – these are just some of the exciting jobs you can train for by enrolling on our Media, Broadcast and Production T-Prep Foundation Programme. You’ll learn the technical and creative skills needed to bring events and productions to life, and you’ll gain hands-on experience in the latest tools and technologies used in the industry.


There are endless opportunities waiting for you – from working in world-renowned theatres to bringing live music to life on cruise ships to being part of the magic at festivals, and more. You will develop core knowledge and understanding of:

In our experience, to be successful on this level of programme, you will need an appropriate functional level in English and maths to be able to fulfil the coursework requirements. 

You will need to have gained a grade 3 or above in English or level 1 functional skills in English.


Assessment will be through written and practical coursework, group work, presentations and analysis.

On successful completion of the T Level, you may progress to:

  • employment in a variety of jobs, for example, content creator, podcaster, digital marketer or content editor.
