What's it all about?

This course is designed for those wishing to develop strategic management and leadership practice who will have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to drive business activities in a senior, regional, specialist, director or CEO management and leadership role.

Course information

CMI qualifications are broken down into units and relevant topics aligned to the level and qualification. Typical units for this course are:

  • strategic leadership (701)
  • leading and developing people to optimise performance (702)
  • developing organisational strategy (704)
  • leading strategic change (705)..

 

  • This qualification is aimed at students aged 18 and above.
  • In order to be successful on this course you will need to have qualifications in maths and English at a minimum of level 2 (functional skills/GCSEs).

 

In addition, you will be required to have one of the following qualifications::

  • L5 CMI Diploma or
  • HND or
  • Foundation Degree or
  • BA (Hons) Degree.

 

To join the course you must satisfy the College that:

  • the course is relevant to your personal development plan
  • you have the ability to cope with the academic demands of the course
  • you are a student member of the CMI (within one month of course enrolment)
  • you are aware of the amount of work necessary to complete the course successfully and can demonstrate sufficient motivation to produce work of sufficient quality to agreed deadlines.

 

The course is assessed by coursework. There are no exams.

Successful completion of this course may lead to higher level management positions.
