This course provides an introduction to creative media production, giving you the opportunity to develop both creative and technical skills across a range of media sectors, including film, graphic design, audio production and photography. You will explore real-world production processes, from investigation and planning through to production and review of media products. The course also helps build the skills and confidence needed to progress to higher levels of education, Apprenticeships or employment.

Course information
In our experience, to be successful on this course you will need an appropriate functional level in English and maths.
We welcome applications from students who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- a GCSE in English at grade 3 or above
- successful completion of a related level 1 qualification (graded merit or above).
If you do not meet the specific entry requirements, you are still encouraged to apply, as individual applications will be considered. We can also support you in working towards achieving a level 2 qualification in English and maths.
On successful completion, you may progress to:
- the Level 3 Diploma in Film & Creative Media at the College
- the Level 3 Diploma in Graphic Design at the College
- an Apprenticeship
- employment in a variety of jobs, for example: content creator, podcaster, digital marketer or content editor.
