As a Construction Site Supervisor apprentice, you’ll learn to be at the forefront of site operations, coordinating the work of tradespeople, managing resources, and ensuring that all activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Whether you’re working on residential developments, commercial projects, or infrastructure works, your leadership and organisational skills will be key to driving project success.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site, monitoring progress against project plans, and ensuring that work is carried out according to specifications and quality benchmarks. You’ll learn how to manage site logistics, coordinate subcontractors, and handle the various challenges that arise during the construction process.

Through your Apprenticeship, you’ll develop a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations, enabling you to make informed decisions and provide guidance to your team. You’ll also gain valuable experience in problem-solving, risk management, and effective communication, ensuring that you can keep projects on track and stakeholders informed.

This Apprenticeship covers various areas including:

  • health, safety, and environmental management
  • communication and interpersonal skills
  • quality control and assurance
  • construction project management
  • technical documentation and reporting.
This Apprenticeship spans 36 months, offering apprentices hands-on experience and practical knowledge in various aspects of construction site supervision, including health and safety, quality control, project management, and effective communication within a construction environment.

The entry requirements for this Apprenticeship will be decided by the employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above.

The end point assessment will consist of an online test, a project and a professional discussion.

Following successful completion, you could progress onto employment within the sector.
