What's it all about?

This course offers essential life skills for community members aged 25 and over who are utilising adult social care services.

During the 12-week course, you will gain a variety of practical, everyday skills and enhance your employability. 

Course information

The course covers a combination of skills, including:

  • health and wellbeing
  • getting around safely
  • managing money
  • everyday food and drink preparation
  • personal care and hygiene
  • developing skills for employability.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course.

This course includes a range of assessment methods, such as workbooks, witness testimonies, videography, photography, and professional discussions.

Upon successful completion, you may progress to paid or voluntary employment, while continuing to access adult social care placements.
