About the course

Do you want to progress your career as a marketer? Would you like to study a part-time marketing course at degree level, without committing to complete a full honours degree? This module in marketing is a level 4 certificate awarded by Plymouth University. It will enable you to investigate the principles that underpin the marketing process and how they apply in a business. This marketing course at City College Plymouth can be completed by studying for a late afternoon session, one day a week for 17 weeks. The programme provides a broad, general overview of marketing and is a great foundation for further specialist study.

What you'll learn

You will learn the principles and concepts of marketing to enable business organisations to become marketing orientated, as well as the skills to conduct market research and segmentation to develop a marketing strategy. The use of the marketing mix; product, price, place and promotion, will also be investigated for different business structures and organisations.

There are no formal entry requirements, but you should have relevant work experience.

Assessments/Exams

This module will be assessed by coursework only.
