What's it all about?

This course supports learners to gain sector-specific skills through accredited vocational qualifications. It develops core competencies like digital literacy, self-management, and teamwork while building independence in learning. Learners are exposed to vocational contexts such as hospitality, construction, or IT, and supported in making informed decisions about future employment or training. Functional English and maths are embedded, and learners are encouraged to plan, evaluate and manage their learning goals. The course is ideal for those aspiring to transition to mainstream FE provision or entry-level jobs.

  • the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

In order to be successful on this course, you will need to have completed an entry level three programme.

The course is assessed via coursework and completion of a workbook.

Upon successful completion you may progress to a range of full-time level 2 study programmes at the College.
