As a Beauty Therapist apprentice, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing clients’ well-being and confidence. You will perform a range of treatments, from facials and body massages to hair removal and makeup application. Your responsibilities will include assessing clients’ needs, providing expert advice on beauty and skincare, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism. This Apprenticeship offers diverse experiences and opportunities to develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Course information

This Apprenticeship will cover various areas, including the following:

  • health, safety and hygiene
  • consultation techniques & client care
  • waxing services
  • facial treatments, including skin care and massage
  • anatomy and physiology.
This Apprenticeship spans 15 months, combining practical work experience with study. At least 20% of your time will be dedicated to off-the-job training, where you will gain valuable knowledge and skills through structured learning and hands-on practice. The remaining 80% will be spent working within an organisation, applying your learning in real-world beauty therapy tasks, such as performing treatments, consulting with clients, and maintaining high standards of health and safety.

For the best chance of success, learners are required to have a minimum of grade 4 (C) in English and maths.

The end point assessment will consist of a knowledge test and an observation.

Following successful completion, you could progress onto employment within the sector. This could include a role as an eyelash technician, beauty therapist, nail technician, etc.
