What's it all about?

This course provides a broad introduction to the business sector, focusing on the development of both transferable personal skills, such as organisation, teamwork, and communication, and sector-specific vocational skills through practical, hands-on activities. 

It is an engaging course that introduces you to a range of essential business skills while building a solid foundation of knowledge to support your future studies. If required, you will also have the opportunity to retake your GCSE English and maths alongside the course.

Course Units 

Developing a Personal Progression Plan 
You will develop the self-awareness needed to identify your strengths and interests, enabling you to plan clear next steps for further education, training, or employment. 
Presenting a Business Idea 
You will build confidence and communication skills by pitching your own business concepts and learning how to present ideas effectively to an audience. 
Organising a Meeting 
You will learn the practical skills involved in planning and coordinating business activities, while developing strong organisational and professional behaviours. 
Branding a Product 
You will develop creative and strategic thinking by exploring how businesses create and promote a unique brand identity.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course.  

You will be assessed through a combination of assignments, project work, and practical demonstrations.
