What's it all about?

Do you want to be a senior hair stylist, colourist or even run your own hair salon? If you are already working as a hairdresser and have a level 2 qualification, this level 3 City & Guilds Hair Services training course at City College Plymouth is the perfect next step. You will have the opportunity to build upon the skills you have already gained and to become creative and highly skilled in a wide range of hairdressing services including colour, bridal hair, creative hairdressing and the promotion and selling of products. When you complete this one year, full-time hairdresser training course you will have all the essential skills you need to gain employment or start your own business in the hairdressing industry!

Course information

The units for this course are three mandatory units and a range of optional units that cover colour, bridal hair, creative hairdressing and the promotion and selling of products.

You will need to have successfully achieved a level 2 hairdressing qualification and have a professional attitude and appearance.

You will be assessed through online exams and coursework.

On successful completion you may progress to other level 3 hairdressing courses at the College, or into employment.
