What's it all about?

This course will cover the contemporary aspects of photography and filming. Whether you’re a budding vlogger, an aspiring photographer or are just looking to take up a new hobby, we’ll teach you the fundamental skills you need to create beautiful art in both photograph and film form. You’ll learn a broad range of techniques; from research and planning to shooting and editing; everything you need to bring your ideas to life!

Course information

This course covers the following subjects:

  • lighting techniques
  • digital filming and photography
  • basic Photoshop techniques
  • organising a shoot
  • post-production; editing and uploading your work
  • basic editing techniques.

There are no specific entry requirements.

There are no formal exams.

On successful completion of this course, you may wish to progress to a Media course at the College.
