What's it all about?

The performance unit will enable you to demonstrate occupational competence. The unit focuses upon the occupational competence required to plan and prepare for, install (including testing and commissioning) and handover of grid connected solar photovoltaic systems with an electrical output of up to five kilowatt peak (kWp) connected to both single and three–phase installations.

City College Plymouth will provide all tools and equipment required for your training. We offer a free breakfast for all of our students and short course delegates will be given a free lunch voucher to use in our Food Court.

This course has been updated to reflect the Amendment 3 (2024) changes to British Standard 7671 (BS7671). Candidates can download the update here. This can be attached to your regulations book and taken into exams, where reference material is permitted.
