As a Learning and Skills Teacher apprentice, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journeys of your students. You will work closely with learners across different age groups and abilities, designing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to individual learning needs. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing teaching strategies, assessing learners’ progress, and providing feedback that promotes growth and improvement. You will be instrumental in creating an inclusive and motivating environment that encourages students to achieve their academic and personal goals.

This Apprenticeship is designed to provide you with comprehensive practical experience and specialised training in the field of education and training. You will develop essential skills such as curriculum design, effective teaching and assessment methods, and the use of technology to enhance learning. Additionally, you will be trained in pastoral care, safeguarding practices, and strategies for managing diverse learning needs, ensuring that you can provide holistic support to your students.

This Apprenticeship covers various areas including:

  • collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.
This Apprenticeship spans 18 months, providing apprentices with hands-on experience and technical knowledge in various aspects of teaching and education, such as lesson planning, student assessment, inclusive teaching, and collaboration within an educational setting. 

The entry requirements for this Apprenticeship will be decided by the employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above.

The end point assessment will consist of a lesson observation and a professional discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence.

Following successful completion, you could progress onto employment within the sector.
