What's it all about?

This qualification is aimed at qualified fitness instructors and personal trainers who wish to acquire the additional knowledge and competencies required to plan and deliver safe and effective kettlebell exercises and training sessions.


This course is CIMPSPA recognised


Course information

The course covers the following areas:

  • the history and origins of kettlebell training
  • the benefits of using kettlebells
  • health and safety considerations for kettlebell training
  • how to incorporate kettlebell training into resistance sessions.

You will need to hold a level 2 Gym Instructor qualification for this course.

You will be assessed via a short assignment that combines both a practical and written element.

You may wish to progress to a variety of level 3 fitness qualifications offered at City College. This course would be appropriate as part of your yearly professional development requirement and you may wish to add to this by studying for additional qualifications.
