This course equips you with the skills needed to work at a junior level in men’s hairdressing and barbering. It covers fundamental barbering techniques and is designed to prepare you for a variety of practices. In our fully equipped salons, you will develop expertise in cutting, styling, and shampooing, alongside enhancing your customer care and consultation abilities, and understanding health and safety principles.

What's it all about?
Course information
In our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need one of the following:
- a GCSE (or equivalent) in English
- an NVQ/VRQ Level 1 in Hairdressing or Barbering
- equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.
On successful completion you may progress to the Level 3 Certificate in Barbering at the College, work as an Improver in a Barber’s shop, work on a cruise ship, become a specialist technician, or pursue a junior role in a salon.
