What's it all about?

Are you a qualified MOT tester? You can complete your annual IMI award in MOT training and assessment here at City College Plymouth to maintain your tester status. This course will enable you to complete the requirements of the annual training. You will need to have completed an MOT Tester course in order to undertake this training.

Course information

This course includes the annual training content and mandatory annual assessment to be a qualified MOT tester. You will be able to:

  • understand the requirements of the subjects specified annually by DVSA
  • understand the benefits of annual training
  • complete the annual assessment.

You will need to be an existing light vehicle (classes 3, 4, 5 and 7) MOT nominated tester who wishes to prepare for and then complete the DVSA MOT annual training and annual assessment.

There will be an online test.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be qualified for a further year to carry out MOT testing work.
