What's it all about?

Develop a hands-on approach to your learning and gain practical skills, knowledge and understanding in employability and social development. The qualification is intended to give learners a solid base from which to further develop their skills, and prepare for work.

Course information

Over the duration of this course, you will develop a variety of skills that are essential for employment in any area. In addition to working on skills such as team work, problem solving and time management, you will study a number of vocational-specific units which include an introduction to health and social care, and caring for babies and young children.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. 

All units in this qualification are internally assessed by work which is set and marked by your lecturers, with no exams.

Successful students may progress onto an Apprenticeship (Health and Social Care or Early Years Practitioner).
