As an Operations or Departmental Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing teams, delivering projects, and achieving departmental goals in alignment with your organisation’s strategy.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in creating operational plans, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement. This Apprenticeship offers a comprehensive pathway to mastering leadership, from financial and resource management to coaching and mentoring, all while contributing to your organisation’s success across various sectors.

Course information

This Apprenticeship will cover various areas including:

  • managing teams and projects to meet organisational goals
  • developing operational plans and implementing them effectively
  • leading and managing change within the organisation
  • building relationships both internally and externally
  • managing budgets and financial plans
  • understanding organisational governance and compliance
  • using management systems to deliver operational plans
  • ensuring effective communication and decision-making within the team.

The entry requirements for this Apprenticeship will be decided by the employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above.

The end point assessment consists of a professional discussion and a project proposal, presentation and questioning.

Following successful completion, you could progress onto employment within the sector. This could include roles such as an operations manager, a specialist manager, a regional manager, etc.
