About the course

Are you a gas or plumbing engineer seeking a vented hot water training course or qualification? This one day course provides initial qualifications for engineers to work on unvented hot water systems, and will provide, upon completion, a qualification for working with unvented hot water systems. We will teach you the principles of hot water systems, controls, installation, and maintenance.

What you'll learn

This course contains a blend of practical and theory learning on unvented hot water systems, including an introduction to the systems, an overview of controls, how to diagnose and correct faults ad how to install and maintain a system.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you must have knowledge on water regulations and/or basic plumbing.

Assessments/Exams

There will be a combination of practical assessment and theory papers.

On successful completion of this course, you could benefit from increased opportunities in business and employment. You may also wish to progress onto another construction course at the College.

Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2021/22 (August 2021 – July 2022). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2022/23.
