What's it all about?

The purpose of this qualification is to confirm occupational competence and provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding required to take up roles within the stewarding and spectator safety industry.

Course information

This course is internally assessed, and will include modules around the following key topics: 

  • preparation for spectator events 
  • assistance with the movement of spectators and dealing with crowds 
  • issues at spectator events 
  • help in managing and resolving conflicts 
  • dealing with incidents at spectator events 
  • supporting the work of your team and organisation.
  • You will also complete training in first aid and counter terrorism procedures.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course.

The assessment for this course will take place via a portfolio of evidence, on the job observations and with scenario tasks.

Progression from this course can result in you increasing your employment opportunities, and moving on to employment in roles such as steward and marshal.
