Do you want to be a senior hair stylist, colourist or even run your own hair salon? If you already have a level 2 qualification, this level 3 course at City College Plymouth is the perfect next step. You will have the opportunity to build upon your existing skills to become creative and highly skilled in a wide range of hairdressing services including colour, bridal hair, creative hairdressing and the promotion and selling of products. When you complete this one year, full-time hairdresser training course you will have all the essential skills you need to gain employment or start your own business in the hairdressing industry!
The units for this course are five mandatory units and a range of optional units that cover colour, bridal hair, creative hairdressing and the promotion and selling of products.
You will need to have successfully achieved a level 2 hairdressing qualification and have a professional attitude and appearance.
You will be assessed through online exams and coursework.
On successful completion you may progress to other level 3 hairdressing courses at the College, or into employment.
Fees quoted apply to courses starting in the academic year 2020/21 (August 2020 – July 2021). There may be a slight increase in fees for courses starting 2021/22.
If you are aged 16-18, due to Government funding, tuition fees may not be applicable for your course. (Please note: this does not apply to Foundation Degrees or Access to Higher Education courses, and other courses not eligible for public funding.)
