The Level 1 Award in Nutrition and Health is the perfect starting point for anyone who wants to understand the basics of a balanced diet, how to make healthy food choices, and the impact of nutrition on overall wellbeing. This course will give you practical knowledge that you can apply to your own life and help others make healthier choices too.

Course information

You will gain:

  • a strong understanding of nutrition and the importance of a balanced diet
  • the ability to plan healthy meals for yourself and others
  • knowledge of eating disorders and their impact on physical and mental health
  • practical skills to make healthier food choices and promote wellbeing.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course.

You will complete a workbook, which will be assessed and then reviewed through Internal Quality Assurance (IQA).

On successful completion of this course, you could progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Counselling).
