What's it all about?

If your ambition is to travel the world as cabin crew, or work abroad in a holiday resort, this NCFE (Northern Council for Education) Level 2 qualification is a perfect way to learn more about the aviation and holiday industry. Not only does it cover all aspects of Air Cabin Crew, it also covers airport and ground operations, as well as working in a resort. This Level 2 course will see you taking part in practical assessments using our realistic mock air cabin at the College. There may also be opportunities to visit airports and well known airlines during the course, which will give you the opportunity to meet employers from the aviation and travel industry. This is a dynamic sector and the variety of skills learnt on the course could also springboard you into other careers within the leisure and tourism industry

Course information

This course will cover the following topics:

  • working as a cabin crew member
  • airline health, safety, and security
  • aircraft emergency situations
  • dealing with passengers on board an aircraft 
  • selling techniques 
  • making passenger announcements on board an aircraft
  • aviation security 
  • airport check-in services
  • aircraft boarding and arrival services
  • loading and unloading of aircraft
  • supporting flight operations
  • investigating employment opportunities for resort representatives 
  • understanding the role of a representative in a resort
  • preparing for the start of the holiday season
  • managing airport and transport duties 
  • investigating the role of the entertainment representative in a holiday resort.

In our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need a level 3 or above in GCSE English and maths.

Following successful completion, you could progress into a variety of careers within the leisure and tourism industry.
