There’s no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to our courses, as course duration can range from one day to several years. Once you’ve decided on a course you’d like to study, the course information page will indicate how long the course is, and whether it’s online, in-person, or both.

Course Fees and Funding
Don’t let the cost of studying put you off – most of our students study for FREE, and those who don’t qualify for funding are very often eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan.
Eligibility depends on both the course you have chosen to study and your individual circumstances.

Tony's Story: Access to Higher Education
Mature student Tony is not only learning about history, he’s creating it too!
Tony, aged 71, has recently completed an Access to Higher Education course at City College Plymouth and is now set to become possibly the oldest ever history undergraduate at the University of Plymouth when he takes on a degree there.
With a remarkable story about positivity, loss and learning, Tony shows us it is never too late to learn!
