Course information

  • Health and Safety in Building Services Engineering: this topic focuses on the importance of health and safety practices in the construction and maintenance of building services. It covers regulations, risk assessment, hazard identification, and safe working procedures.
  • Principles of Electrical Science: this topic provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of electrical science. It covers basic electrical concepts such as voltage, current, resistance, power, and circuit analysis. Students will learn about Ohm’s law, electrical measurements, and the behaviour of electrical components.
  • Electrical Installation Technology: this topic delves into the practical aspects of electrical installations in buildings. It covers electrical wiring systems, distribution boards, cables, conduits, and protective devices. Students will learn about wiring regulations, installation techniques, and electrical safety practices.
  • Installation of Wiring Systems and Enclosures: this topic focuses specifically on the installation of wiring systems and enclosures in buildings.
