Would you love to be a hotel worker, kitchen assistant, or chef? Do you have ambitions of a hospitality career? At City College Plymouth, this City & Guilds Introduction to Hospitality and Catering can be studied at entry level, level 1 or level 2. This training programme will give you a basic introduction to the hospitality and catering industry. Through practical work in our training kitchens and retail food outlets you will learn, develop and practice basic catering and food and beverage service skills. You will find out about food hygiene and safety, customer service and the importance of teamwork, and apply this within our busy restaurant and cafe environments.

You will need a minimum of three GCSEs grade 3-1 (D to F) to enrol on this course.
On successful completion you may progress to the Professional Chef or Professional Food and Beverage Service Diploma at the College, or employment in the industry via an Apprenticeship.
